Search continues for university graduate who went missing after Bristol house party

A recent University of Exeter graduate has been reported missing after leaving a house party in Bristol.

Jack O’Sullivan, 22 years old, was last seen walking near Bristol City Centre by Brunel Lock Road on Saturday 2nd March at 3:15am meaning he now been missing for five weeks.

Police have described Jack as white, around 5ft 10, of slim build, with short brown hair. He was said to be wearing a quilted green/brown Barbour jacket over a beige woollen jumper, with navy chinos and brown leather trainers with white soles.

Police are urging the public to focus on this time and contact them if you were in the area at the time. Especially focusing on drivers on the Cumberland Basin or anyone driving outbound towards Ashton around that time (3:15am).

Shortly after his last sighting, Jack phoned a friend and also answered his phone when she then called back.

Jacks parents are hoping that finding his phone could provide the vital clues needed as to his whereabouts. Any lost phones found in the area between the 2nd of March and now should be reported to the police.

After realising he hadn’t come home at 5am, his parents Catherine and Alan, from Flax Bourton used an app that tracked his location to Granby Hill in Hotwells. This a short step up from the docks, where he was last seen.

Jakes mother Catherine told ITV News: “It just doesn’t make any sense.

“That would be my appeal really would be if somebody picked up a phone for whatever reason or passed a smashed phone or anything, that would give us an indication of where that phone went.

 “We’re in a living hell, the tragedy of Jack not being here is killing us. But the unanswered questions are confusing us to the point of despair.”

Detective Inspector Jason Chidgey of Avon and Somerset Police said: “This is an extremely distressing time for the loved ones of Jack and we’re continuing to carry out urgent enquiries to establish what happened to him.

“We’re keen for the public to focus on the time of the last confirmed sighting and we still want to speak to anyone driving on the Cumberland Basin around this time, as well as anyone driving outbound towards Ashton, as they may have dashcam footage which could help us.”

His parents are pleading with the public to share this case to anyone who could have been in the area at the time. Any information could be helpful.
