University Announces Free Bus Service

Free bus rides ’til 2am courtesy of our University

Following concerns about personal safety, the University has announced that they will be providing a free bus service for those who wish to take advantage of it. The busses will run from the University Library and Student Union to the student accommodation on the edge of town.

This means that students from Albany Park, David Russell Apartments, Andrew Melville, University Hall and Agnes Blackadder will be saved from the walk home after a marathon revision session or night about town. Since it is completely free, all students need to do is present their matriculation card to qualify for a lift home. University staff will also be able to use the service.

It will run from Monday the 28th of April until the end of exams, from 10pm until 2am. Buses will depart every half hour (though a full timetable has been made available on the university website). It is hoped that the service will allow for an extra feeling of safety in our town, while minds are focused on the dreaded exams.
