Graduation Ball 2013. The social highlight of the summer if not the entire year. Graduates come together to celebrate the end of an era in a night of pure revelry. The first acts have just been released and we are proud to tell you this year’s graduates will be serenaded by The Mystery Jets and Yolanda Be Cool as well as others yet to be announced…

The Mystery Jets provided the soundtrack to many of our secondary school careers and are currently repping the USA with their latest album of solid tunes alongside Mumford and Sons.

Most of you will know Yolanda Be Cool for their smash-hit “We no speak Americano” – No we don’t! Bring it Yolanda.

The ball will take place over four stages and support will come from our very own Soul Food, Moodroom Collective and The Dirty Hemingways.

The Stand spoke to Director of Events and Services Jules Findlay who told us, “Beyonce pulled out”. Many were hopeful for a Queen B performance but with more acts to be announced fingers are still crossed for Mr. Carter or as you know him… Jay-Z.

DoES Jules followed up by saying, “Please share the website as I spent ages on it”; he has always had a way with words. Definitely worth a look, it’s very swanky.

There will be a Ceilidh, a Jazz Quartet and every other kind of musical ensemble you could wish for as well as ice sculptures.

Remember this corker from a while back…
