Unilink bus crashes in to hospital

End of the line.


The fire brigade were called to Southampton General Hospital at 10:20pm on Saturday 19th December after a double decker Unilink bus crashed in to the hospital.

 

The fire fighters from Redbridge fire station were called to Coxford Road after the bus careered in to the side of the teenage oncology unit in the west wing of the hospital.

Although it is reported that no one was injured in the crash structural engineers were at the scene assessing the damage caused.

It is not yet clear how the incident took place or how the bus managed to collide with the hospital building.

Unilink bus service is yet to comment on the incident.
