Two girls have been assaulted on their way home from Jesters.

The victims were walking home from Jesters when the assault happened in the early hours of Sunday morning. The two girls, aged 20 and 21, are students from the University of Southampton.

Both of the victims were assaulted by two females suspected to be in their late teens and one of them had their bags stolen. The incident happened at approximately 3:10am on Sunday June 1st.

The girls had been walking for less than five minutes when the incident occurred in Portswood. The attack happened on Spring Crescent (near Woodside and Thackeray Road), by Lawn Road Recreational Park. The girls ran off past the park in the direction of St Deny’s station after the attack.

One of the victims told the Soton Tab:

It was one of the worst experiences I have had to go through and made even more shocking because it was two girls and so unexpected. I also really hope this doesn’t have to happen to anyone else!
