Just before 11 o’clock this morning a cyclist was injured at the Blockbuster junction on Portswood high street.
An eye-witness reports the boy as “flying through the air” after he was hit. Heroic students were on hand to provide first aid and comfort the injured cyclist.
Police have spoken with the driver who was involved in the collision.
Concerns have been raised about the junction in the past, with local pressure groups wanting a 20mph speed limit.
