Over half of the student population at both Sheffield unis is female

Clubbing might be the focus of your social time when heading to university, but finding the right friends is an amazing part of the student life. This is how many women are studying at each Sheffield university to make sure you find the most comfortable place for you.

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings have just been released, ranking global institutions in a number of ways. One of these statistics shows the ratio of female to male students on each campus.

Out of the two found in Sheffield, Hallam is the winner when it comes to women on their courses. 55 per cent of students at Sheffield Hallam are women.

University of Sheffield only falls slightly below this, with 53 per cent of it’s students being female. It sits between Exeter and the University of Freiburg in Germany.
