Sheffield is covered in snow and everyone has lost it

After heavy snow fall since the early hours of the morning, Sheffield has been completely covered in the white stuff.

Despite the fact it’s Spring, the skies have opened leaving anywhere between five and ten centimetres of snow on the ground, and several of us having to trek to Uni over Sheffield’s famously hazardous hills.

The Met Office claim that we can expect “rain, sleet and accumulating hill snow continuing overnight” carrying on through to Saturday, and warn us to even expect some light hill snow on Tuesday.

As always, the snowy scenes have left a mixed reception. Olivia Reddington a second year studying English Literature said, “It makes Sheffield look amazing but it’s going to play havoc with the already difficult to manage hills.”
