Jess was the first Manchester Editor in Chief to hail from a non-redbrick university, climbing the ranks from writer, to news editor within a few months of joining the team. She has featured in Politics UK and aAh! Magazine, and produced copy for Soccer Aid with Reach Sport.

Education

Jess graduated with a first class honors in (BA) Event Management from Manchester Metropolitan before beginning her Journalism MA at the University of Salford in 2026. As a JDF recipient, she feels strongly about accessibility in the media industry, and is vocal about working class communities, womens health, and living with OCD.
