Dominic PennaThe new Students' Union food van has arrived and will be serving students at all SU club nights from September.
The van, promised by outgoing SU President Kieran Maxwell last year, was announced last Monday to the delight of Sheffield students.
It will be serving everything from burgers to chips and gravy after your visits to Tuesday Club, Roar, and of course Pop Tarts.
Kieran told The Tab:
"I'm elated that our new SU Food Van is finally here, which was one of my key manifesto pledges. It will be serving food late at night after every SU Club Night come September, with classics like chips, cheese and gravy, burgers and veggie burgers.
"We're also hoping to use the van at other events and festivals across the city, as well as for volunteering and outreach.
"I think this is really important when it comes to student welfare, so people have a place to go and take a break that is close by before heading home."
Described on the campaign trail as 'the man with the plan for the van', Kieran has now made good on the promise in what is officially the final week of his Presidency.
Final impressions don't come much better than this, and his efforts have ensured that, as of September, you will no longer have to trek to West Street or Pizza Mania for your refreshments after Poppy Ts.
