Sheffield SU number one for fifth consecutive year

Shock

Sheffield’s students union has impressively been voted number one in the country for the fifth year running in the National Student Survey 2016. The union achieved a 96% satisfaction rate, which has increased from last year.

Yet again, Sheffield has fought off competition from across the country and was 3% above its nearest rival, St. Mary’s University College in Belfast. The NSS 2016 results also put Sheffield as number two university in the region and third in the Russell group for student experience, hazar.

The allure of nights like Tuesday Club and the infamous Pop Tarts combined with the top facilities of the Union have yet again snagged Sheffield the number one spot.

They’re all loving it

Dominic Trendall, the SU President said: “We are extremely proud that out student’s union has once again been voted the best in the UK. This wonderful achievement is a testament to all of the dedicated staff, students and volunteers who work incredibly hard to create a truly inclusive community that Sheffield students love to be apart of.”

In the survey of about 312,000 final-year students from 155 institutions, Sheffield came in equally with the likes of Nottingham and Durham.

Sheffield Uni came 35th in the overall satisfaction survey, once again beating Hallam who placed in at 102nd. Better luck next year.
