Dom Trendall is our new SU President

Daisy CollingwoodDom Trendall has been announced has our new SU President for the 2016/2017.
The result, which was announced in Foundry and Fusion tonight, saw the Politics finalist steal the show to succeed current SU President Christy McMorrow for the following academic year.
Co-chair of Sheffield Labour students, Dom has had plenty of experience campaigning across the region. He promised to increase support from the SU, demand a standardised deadline time of no earlier than 4pm across all departments and also campaign to keep bus fares down for us all.
Our new SU President
Louis Ekoku, a Chemistry finalist commented: “I’m extremely pleased for Dom. He’s a worthy winner and going to make an awesome President.”
First announced was Women’s Officer which went to Serena Cavasin, with a huge 58% of the votes and a backing track of Beyonce. International Officer was given to Ana-Gabriella, and Evette Prout announced the new Development Officer which went to Michael Kind.
Anna Berestova took Activities Officer, Anna Mullaney Welfare Officer and Ali Day will be the new education officer.
Emily Roche also took sports officer.
