Police called over concern for a woman’s welfare on Fallowfield Loop
A section of the cycle path has been cordoned off
Sam WarrengerPolice have closed a section of the Fallowfield Loop cycle path after an incident early this morning.
Officers were called to a report of concern for a woman's welfare on Wellington Road shortly before 4:50am.
A 200 yard cordon has been in place on the cycle path all morning, with reports that the cordon has been extended to include Sherwood Street around lunchtime.

Greater Manchester Police told The Manchester Tab: "Shortly before 4.50am this morning, police were called to a report of the concern for the welfare of a woman on Wellington Road, Fallowfield.
"Enquiries are ongoing and a cordon is in place on the junction of Sherwood Street and Wellington Road.
"Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting reference number 237 of 14.11.18 or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555111."
