Arriva bus strike tomorrow is CANCELLED

The Union have described it as ‘a gesture of goodwill’

Thursday's (the 7th) Arriva bus strike has been cancelled after the company agreed to "meaningful talks".

The union Unite stated that their decision to cancel the strike is a goodwill gesture to the travelling public.

Unite told the Echo that "The cancellation is as a result of a request of ours being granted by the Company to engage in meaningful talks in an attempt to settle our pay claim".

There are still seven more strike dates scheduled for December, which will go ahead if the dispute over pay is not resolved.
