Riot Jazz Takes Over The Kazimier
Riot Jazz uprooted from Manchester to Liverpool to provide some long-awaited variety for our Friday night.
Despite Eat Your Greens and Abandon Silence also pulling in the punters, the Kazimier was full to the brim with people looking for something a little bit different from the Concert Square club scene.
Something a little different on a friday night
Comprised of a 9-piece brass band, Riot Jazz bases their sound on “a twisted mix of funk, soul, hiphop and aggressive jazz”.
Trumpets galore at The Kaz
Kicking off at 10pm, the evening undoubtedly delivered, with Rich Reason and the Mouse Outfit raising the Kazimier’s roof with an eclectic jazz mix. The Riot Jazz Brass Band also provided a sensational set, with classics such as Human League and A-ha giving a refreshing revamp that Popworld could only dream of.
After Speakeasy’s storming success last week, Riot Jazz ensured that the Kazimier will remain one of Liverpool’s prime live music venues, impressing a packed audience in true jazz style.
