Melville Grove next in line for posh revamp

Say goodbye to creaky beds and dangerously loose shelving as Melville Grove looks to get a full refurb.

The days of hearing exactly what next door are up to through paper thin walls are coming to an end as the University of Liverpool search for a contractor to give the campus accommodation a £5.5 million make over.

Posh Vine Court model for new accommodation

The date for reopening Melville Grove is Summer 2014, meaning the only way your flatmates will know about your rowdy one night stand will be via the time-honoured walk of shame.

Your newfound wild lifestyle will soon take place in the comfort refurbished bathrooms and kitchens, offering a whole world of new opportunities not available since Melville Grove’s opening in the early 1990s.

The news comes amidst a wave of controversy and speculation surrounding uni accommodation, including that on Hope Street and the fate of the beloved Carnatic.

Grove Street will never be the same.
