Another mobile vaccination unit is opening in Lincoln Arboretum this weekend

There will be two more ‘vaccination buses’ in Lincoln in the following weeks

A second mobile vaccination unit is opening in Lincoln this weekend on June 26th. This is available to anyone in Lincoln over the age of 18 without the need for an appointment.

NHS Lincolnshire is offering this to those who have not yet had their vaccine and are eligible to do so. It is being held in the car park of Lincoln’s Arboretum between 12pm and 3pm. Last week, Lincoln residents were able to attend a mobile vaccination unit on Portland Street.

Similar vaccination units will also be taking place the following Saturday at Brayford Wharf North, opposite the Square Sail and the Saturday after that at Lincoln Mosque, next to Lidl on Dixon Street.

The mobile unit is “helping with the roll out of the vaccination programme in local communities. The bus will be provided by St John Ambulance with staff from local GP practices providing vaccinations”, the University of Lincoln has said.

Anyone who wishes to receive their first dose of the Covid vaccination will be able to do so this weekend by simply turning up. As of last week, all adults aged 18 or over in England are now eligible for a vaccination.

However, you can also book directly to have your vaccination via the NHS website or by calling 119.
