Best Dressed: Leicester Vintage Fair

The Tab visits Leicester’s Vintage Fair to find the best dressed students.

As Leicester’s most fashionable students gathered, there was a buzz in the air as The Vintage Fair came to Leicester Cathedral once again.

Stepping into an atmosphere not dissimilar to Camden Market on a busy summer’s day (minus the sun, of course), the stalls were up and students were hunting for vintage gems.

And we were not disappointed. The Fair offered everything from 80’s denim to classic fur coats and one-of-a-kind jewellery. It did past generations proud.

Here is our pick of the most stylish student flying the vintage clothing flag with pride:

Catherine McAteer, French and English, 1st Year

Rebecca Cullen, Medical Biochemistry, 1st Year

Charlie Barrow, Biological Sciences, 1st Year

Pretty stylish, no?

The Tab’s favourite store was The Wardrobe, and we got the chance to speak to its owner, Amber, who described her shop as “pretty awesome.”

The Wardrobe

The Wardrobe has been around for about ten years and was relocated to The Lanes, just outside Highcross. If you’re looking for affordable vintage clothing, you know where to head.
