Glasgow Caledonian University is now offering free breakfast to staff and students

Pity Glasgow Uni isn’t doing the same…

Due to the ongoing cost-of-living crisis, Glasgow Caledonian University is giving away free breakfast for the next three months to all staff and students.

Monday to Friday, between 8am and 11am, a hot breakfast, fruit and a hot drink will be served. These can be collected from the George Moore restaurant on campus.

This initiative is possible due to GCU partnering with independent hospitality food service provider Baxter Storey.

The scheme will be running until late February 2023.

University principal and vice-chancellor Prof Pamela Gillies said: “We know that the cost-of-living crisis has made this a particularly challenging time for our university community.

“This GCU initiative will provide our students and staff with the opportunity to start their day with a free, healthy, and warming breakfast.”
