Poo-gate: Strathclyde students asked to stop doing the toilet in campus bins

As if going to Strathclyde wasn’t shite enough

Students of the University of Strathclyde have been further cloaked in shame due to a recent development in one of their state of the art buildings.

An email sent by the operations management team of Strathclyde’s 89million pound Technology and Innovation Centre (TIC) has asked occupants of the building to stop pooing in bins and showers.

The email comes after the TIC cleaning staff complained about the strange places they were being forced to clean.

The email, which was sent to around 400 students and 250 staff at the centre said:

“All bodily fluids, solids and toilet paper must be disposed of down the toilet.

“While I appreciate that the TIC population is multi-cultural and different countries have different practices, here in the UK the accepted practice is to use only the WC.”

However, shortly after the email was sent, it was recalled, with a spokesperson from The University of Strathclyde saying:

“We’ve apologised for any offence caused to colleagues.

“The email contained sentiments completely contrary to our institutional values and should not have been sent.”
