David Guthrie is your BNOC of the year 2015
‘It’s nice to know my probably drunken antics in Beer Bar and Viper haven’t gone unnoticed’
The votes are in. You, the people, have spoken. And it’s time to announce the winner of the ultimate prize: Glasgow BNOC of the Year 2015.
Second year mechanical engineer David Guthrie, 22, is your champion: he’s shown class, pizazz and a keen ability to tear up a dancefloor.
His nice guy attitude and the fact he has a drinking game named after him won you all over and that makes him the most popular guy on campus.
We had a chat with him to gauge his reaction.
Still overwhelmed by the award, David said: “I think the funniest thing about this is I’m pretty sure there will probably be a lot of people just going: who the hell is that?
“It’s nice to know my probably drunken antics in Beer Bar and Viper haven’t gone unnoticed.
When asked how he was going to celebrate his new found title he said: “See you at the Beach party? Don’t go expecting me to ring the bell.”
So justice prevails and the nice guy actually won for once.
He added: “I’m still not sure how I even got enough votes to win.”
Congrats David.
