Open Day proves farcical

No one showed up

I address those of you who were unaware that Saturday was one of our University’s Open Days.

As far as I am aware, that probably means I address almost all of you.

The tragically tepid open day on Saturday was more of a miss than a hit, with campus looking empty all day.

On the University website it is suggests that the open day is the perfect opportunity to “explore our amazing city, and experience what student life is like at Glasgow!”

But surely no one wants to do that in the rain.

Clearly the weather was a factor, but did anyone come at all?

And how many of the keen open day visitors end up in viper, followed by BBQ kings and a tragic stagger home?

I spent my open day in the botanical gardens sunbathing and eating sushi. I haven’t done it since.

In fact, I personally didn’t even lay eyes on the University building.

And by the looks of it, the prospective freshers didn’t either.
