Glasgow students third-most satisfied in Scotland

Nope, not sexually

glasgow university league tables rankings

Yet again, Glasgow has performed disappointingly average in The Sunday Time Uni Guide rankings.

In the mediocre fashion students have come to expect from the Big G, Glasgow woke up late and slumped into 26th place in the rankings for 2015.

Main building basking in the glory of 26th place

We did beat Strathclyde, though, and it wasn’t even close. If Glasgow turned up late, Strathclyde fell asleep at it’s desk in the library after a night of hardcore first-week studying and was a complete no-show, rolling in at 39th place.

But while 26th place may look a bit pathetic, take the results with a pinch of salt.

This year’s survey took into account lift competence in the Boyd Orr building, friendliness of Fraser building cafe staff, and the geographical proximity of the Rector to his University, a.k.a ability to physically fulfil his duties. So the odds were a bit stacked against us.

The most vaguely interesting, but still entirely meaningless stat, is that Glasgow has the third highest student satisfaction in Scotland.

At least we have The Tab

And in a revelation beyond our wildest dreams we absolutely destroyed Edinburgh. We blew them out of this world. We came in 26th, they came in at an excruciatingly embarrassing 117th place*. Suck on that ‘scottish oxbridge’.

(*In student satisfaction.)
