Professor Charles Abraham, from the University of Exeter Medical School, has been featured in the Science Council’s top 100 practicing scientists list.

The professor, who specialises in behaviour change, is part of a group which seeks to receive attention from a wider community of scientists than those who are traditionally recognised.

The list is designed to celebrate  individuals who have contributed to the growth of their field through their professional skills and leadership, and who have shown a commendable commitment to science.

Abraham also works in personalised healthcare, climate change and sustainable futures.

The professor said: ““It’s an honour to be included in this list and I am especially pleased to be recognised for my contribution to training and supervision in health psychology.

“I didn’t know I had been nominated, so this is a fantastic surprise.”
