Drunk and disorderly? Do one

Exeter’s officers enforce dispersal order in town centre.

New information reveals Exeter’s police officers have cracked down on disorderly behaviour following the recent introduction of a Section 30 dispersal order.

Under an Express and Echo freedom of information request, it has been revealed that 77 people have been forced to move on from the town centre in the first two and a half months of the order’s arrival.

Unfortunately all the fun parts of Exeter are covered

The dispersal order is currently running from Monday 15th July 2013 until Tuesday 14th January 14 and can be enforced if you are found drinking alcohol, acting anti-socially, urinating in alleyways, begging, being aggressive/abusive or setting up camp on the Cathedral Green.

Should you be found in groups of two or more acting antisocially, the order gives the police power to remove and ban you for 24 hours from the designated area or arrest you if you refuse.

So if you find yourself roaming Sidwell Street post-lash, sober yourself up with a cheeky Mega Kebab and stumble home before you’re escorted there.
