SRS? SOS!

Student Record System goes down on morning of module selection.

In yet another snafu from the IT department, the Student Record System is down this morning.

The system’s failure to operate has particularly affected Sciences students, many of whom are anticipating the selection of their modules for next year.

The module selection was due to open at 9am this morning.

In a statement on the “Hot Issues” section of their website, the IT Department claim that the issue is being investigated as “a matter of urgency, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused and hope to resolve the issue asap.”

As a result, the Help Desk are finding themselves subject to a barrage of frustration on Twitter.

Alex Scott, a second-year Dentistry foundation student, described how he “logged on at 8.30 and made sure I kept refreshing the page past 9 – however I still couldn’t pick my modules. I was waiting for three hours at my laptop after emailing the bloody Help Desk and they still haven’t done anything. I’d probably have more luck getting Beyoncé tickets.”
