People are being evacuated out of the area
Police have been called to Godiva Square after gunshots were fired this evening with armed forces stationed at different areas surrounding the site.
One Cosy Club staff member told the Coventry Tab: "Police are keeping us updated on if we have to close but apparently in all ground floor restaurants they're asking people to leave".
