It might snow in Cardiff this weekend

It could be up to 2cm of snow

The Met Office have issued weather warnings for ice and snow on Friday and Saturday.

Despite the calendar marking the end of Winter, the weather is going to be cold and snow may be on the way.

There is uncertainty how much snow will fall and the warning confines heavy snowfall to higher land.

But we might see 1-2cm falling our way.

The Met Office suggested to keep an eye on the weather over the coming days as there may be driving and travelling disruptions.

They said: “A mix of rain, sleet and snow associated with a frontal band is expected to push south across southern parts of England and Wales through Friday afternoon and evening, before clearing by the early hours of Saturday.

At lower levels this will be mainly rain and sleet but may turn briefly to snow in heavier outbreaks of precipitation.”
