UCU announces strike dates for late November

The Cambridge UCU will go on strike later this month

Today (8/11), the University and College Union (UCU) announced that strike action will take place on the 24th, 25th and 30th of November, following the announcement of strike action last month.

The Cambridge UCU will strike for better pay and better working conditions, in addition to striking against the 35 per cent proposed pension cuts by USS.

In a tweet, the UCU claim that with 70,000 members, the UCU will bring “the biggest picket lines in our history.”

The University of Cambridge will join other universities from all across the UK in these strikes.

This is a live story and will be updated as more information becomes available.

The University of Cambridge have been contacted for comment.
