SPOTTED: Genuine human Ed Miliband visits Gloucester Road

Dramatic scenes in Bristol yesterday when Labour supremo Ed Miliband visited to shake a few hands, buy some flowers and get selfied by local school children.

In a series of touching vignettes, Miliband, 44, visited a number of local stores including a fish shop, a patisserie, fruit and veg shop, beauty salon and a toy shop.

The most heart-warming moment came when Ed bought some roses for his wife Justine from The Flower Shop in Gloucester Road. Several onlookers were reportedly moved to tears by the Labour leaders charming and romantic gesture.

Miliband live tweeted his trip to Bristol and the response was typical of the class, civility and good nature of tweeters everywhere:

Charming!

In a further twist, it appeared as if Ed pissed off an actual Bristol resident and potential voter, rather than some faceless internet trolls.

Emily Shimell, who works in marketing, lambasted Miliband in a series of angry tweets for his rudeness, poor memory and failure to support local business’ on Gloucester Road:

Ouch

Looks like Ed has lost a voter.

The Labour leader will at least be able to console himself with the thought that he managed to get through his visit to Brizz without doing anything quite as weird as this:
