A cat café is coming to Birmingham
Beware of furballs floating in your tea…
If you fancy sipping a hot cup of coffee, tucking into some cake and stroking a purring kitty while you’re at it, Happy Cats Café might be for you.
A Birmingham couple have let the cat out of the bag and are hoping to open the city’s first cat café.
It all began when the couple decided to launch a crowd funding campaign, happening in the near future, to support the opening of their unique tea shop.
Ally and her partner Damian, from Mosely, are still looking for a location.
Ally said: “We are launching our crowdfunder campaign very soon, it’s not live yet.
“Were looking for the right location. It will be a Japanese meets West café where people can relax with our rehomed cats, coffee and cake.”
This Japanese-influenced sensation began in Taiwan when the first cat café opened in 1998.
Ever since then the cat-craze has been duplicated all over the world and in the UK.
For some the Happy Cats Café will be a feline fantasy, but for others it will make them as anxious as a cat on a hot tin roof.
