Kaleidoscope is Netflix’s new non-linear TV series which follows a group of thieves as they attempt to steal seven billion dollars worth of bonds. The series spans across 24 years as Leo Pap, the mastermind, plans the heist and its fallout. The experimental new series allows viewers to watch the episodes in any order and it all still managing to make sense. With an all-star cast, exciting locations and an interesting backstory as to how it was created, it makes sense that a lot of people have binge watched Kaleidoscope just days after it was released. If you’re still craving an action-packed and fast-paced heist drama, here are six TV shows and movies on Netflix that you need to watch next:

Money Heist

If you watched any episode of Kaleidoscope, you would have realised a lot of similarities between the series and Money Heist. Money Heist is arguably one of the best heist dramas that Netflix have produced and everyone shed many tears when it was over.

If you aren’t familiar with Money Heist, the gist is fairly simple before it gets even more confusing. A criminal mastermind, or better known as The Professor, plans to pull off the biggest heist in history by printing billions of euros at the Royal Mint of Spain. The Professor recruits eight people who all have different abilities to help him pull off the heist. The series goes back and forth to the past and present as the thieves prepare for the heist and the police trying to catch them. There are five seasons of Money Heist available to watch on Netflix, with a Korean version also being available to watch.

Lupin

Lupin is a French series which is a modern retelling of the story about Arsène Lupin, the famous gentleman thief and master of disguise. The series stars Omar Sy as Assane Diop, who plans to get revenge on a family who framed his father of theft. By using his disguises and thievery, Assane attempts to expose the Pellegrini family’s crimes. There are two seasons of Lupin on Netflix, with a third season expected this year.

Good Girls

Good Girls is a comedy drama series on Netflix about a group of women who rob a local grocery store after becoming fed up with their lives. Beth, Ruby and Annie are all in desperate need of the money, however after pulling off the heist they land themselves even deeper into the criminal world. Good Girls ended in 2021 with all four seasons available to watch on Netflix and Hulu. The cast includes Mae Whitman, Christina Hendricks and Retta.

Coin Heist

Coin Heist is a 2017 heist movie which follows four teenagers who plan to break into the United States Mint in order to save their prep school. The movie is available to watch on Netflix and includes former Pretty Little Liars star Sasha Pieterse.

Heist

Heist is a documentary series on Netflix which takes a look at three of the biggest heists in the USA, all explained by the people who pulled them off. The Bourbon King part of the series features the real life people including Toby Curtsinger and Bourbon journalist Tom Fischer.

This Is a Robbery

This Is a Robbery: The World’s Biggest Art Heist is a documentary/historical drama series which tells the story of two thieves who stole millions of dollars worth of artwork from Boston’s Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. The four part series was produced over a seven year period and is currently available to watch on Netflix.
