Love Island’s Julia speaks out in heartbreaking statement about Lorenzo breakup

Julia has spoken out in a heartbreaking statement, in which she confirmed she and fellow Love Island 2026 winner Lorenzo have broken up. 

The couple lasted just six weeks together after the show, with initial reports claiming they had been on the rocks for a while, but a fight at the NTAs earlier this week was the final straw. 

Now, Julia has shared a sad statement confirming the news. In true Julia style, she posted a bunch of photoshoot pictures of herself and Lorenzo, but the caption told the true story. 

“A little life update,” she said. “I attended the NTAs alongside Lorenzo, and it felt like the right way to celebrate our journey and the chapter we shared together. I’m incredibly grateful and it was an honour to be there to support. Since leaving the villa, we’ve come to the decision to go our separate ways. Some chapters are special even if they’re not meant to last forever.

“We shared an unforgettable experience together, and those memories will always hold a special place in my heart. I’m looking forward to everything this next chapter has in store for both of us.”

Lots of her fellow Islanders were in the comments saying how beautiful Julia looks in the pictures, and Charleen Murphy added: “I can’t wait for ur next chapter.” 

This comes as Lorenzo took to a live to share his thoughts after the breakup. He first seemed to acknowledge the split, and read out a comment from someone that said: “Breakup announced and now he’s active”. Lorenzo added a sarcastic “what” and said: “No, I just though I’d be more chalant I guess.”

He then went on to say who he’s still friends with from the show, and even joked about getting married to Jasmin. All a bit random.
