Hours after Julia split, Love Island’s Lorenzo went live on Instagram and it was quite unhinged

A matter of hours after it was announced Love Island 2026 winners Julia and Lorenzo had split up, he was on a live on Instagram answering people’s questions. It was all a bit all over the place.

Yesterday, it was revealed that after just six weeks together, Julia and Lorenzo had called time on their relationship. They had apparently been struggling to make it work for a while, before a bust up at the NTAs was the final nail in the coffin.

Then, just hours after this news hit the press, Lorenzo was live on Instagram. He first seemed to acknowledge the split, and read out a comment from someone that said: “Breakup announced and now he’s active”. Lorenzo added a sarcastic “what” and said: “No, I just though I’d be more chalant I guess.” He quickly moved the conversation on to someone suggesting he got a tattoo on his neck. Ok then?

He then flipped back to what he was saying before. “I guess it’s time to become a little bit more chalant, show up, be a bit more active,” Lorenzo said. “I had a good time away with my mates, and now it’s sort of time to lock in and have the best time.” Single era activated, it would seem.

He then seemed to completely miss the joke of someone on the live requesting he play Promiscuous by Nelly Furtado. “My phone is in the other room,” he replied. 

Later in the video, Lorenzo was very honest about who he’s still friends with from the 2026 villa. He said he speaks to Yasmin the most (sure), before revealing he also still talks to Tommy, Samraj and Mica. He called Samraj a “great guy”.

“Look at that smirk when he said Yasmin,” someone in the comments said. Well, after her split from Tommy earlier this week, they are both single now. Are we going to get a Lorenzo and Yasmin reunion? 

But he also made even more comments about Jasmin, so maybe he’s actually hoping for a Lorenzo and Jasmin reunion soon. Remember in the villa when Jasmin was crying about the Kav situation and Lorenzo comforted her by saying that if they were both single in six months they’d get married?

Well, someone on the live commented about this, and Lorenzo read it out and laughed. It was a flirty laugh, I can’t lie! He also said he and Jasmine are on good terms now. “I am a good friend [of hers],” he said. “I am.”

I fear we have lots of drama still to come.
