Love Island’s Yasmin speaks out about what *really* happened with Tommy and why they split

Love Island 2026’s Yasmin has spoken out about what happened between herself and Tommy, and why their relationship came to an end after the show.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Yasmin and Tommy were the first couple to end things after the show this year, before just a day later Priya and Aidan also said they’d called time.

At the time, it was said Yasmin and Tommy had realised their relationship wasn’t going anywhere romantically, and they had ended things on good terms. “They tried their best but it was just different outside the villa,” a source said, after days of speculation about their status. 

After the show, people had noticed that Yasmin and Tommy had completed stopped posting together, and were no longer even interacting with each other’s social posts. Tommy then shared a roundup of August highlights on his Instagram story, and Yasmin was nowhere to be seen. He also did a photo dump of 20 pictures since being out of the villa, and not a single one was with Yasmin.

However, now Yasmin has said in her own words what happened. It doesn’t sound too shady, as she told the BBC on the NTAs red carpet that they “weren’t aligning” after they left the show. 

“Me and Tommy aren’t together anymore,” she said. “It ended up being, it was a lot to adjust to on the outside [of the villa]. I mean, we just ended up saying that, you know, we’ve got a lot going on and our lives essentially weren’t aligning on the outside. But we’re still friends. We still really get on. Good terms. Not a bad word to say about the guy.” 

She was later asked about herself and rapper Central Cee potentially getting together in the future, after he recently said she was his celebrity crush. “No comment. Watch this space,” Yasmin replied. Ummm, is this tea?
