Huge update seemingly proves Julia and Lorenzo’s careers have flopped after Love Island

An update this weekend has seemingly shown that the massive influencer careers we were expecting from Love Island 2026 winners Julia and Lorenzo might never truly come into fruition. 

After winning the show this year, people backed them to be the next Molly-Mae and Tommy, and imagined huge success for them. And things, for a while, looked good.

Fresh from the villa, Lorenzo went and nabbed himself a slot with Vogue. He worked with the publication, sitting down as an “agony uncle”, answering questions and dilemmas that got sent in. It suited him, it really did. We were all backing this to be a regular thing, and hoped it would be huge. 

Meanwhile, Julia signed to one of the most prestigious management agencies out there, RUA Management. It’s the same one Yasmin Pettet is signed to, and it represents premium, high-fashion talent. Many who sign with the agency go on to walk on runways and work with luxury brands.

At the time, a source told The Sun: “Julia was never going to be your average teeth-whitening, club tour kind of talent and RUA is a great fit for her – they’re high-end, innovative, editorial.”

It all looked good, right? That was until this weekend. Over the last couple of days, people have noticed something they are claiming signifies the beginning of the end. Edward Enninful, who was the editor-in-chief of British Vogue, has unfollowed them both.

He had followed them both after they left the show, and yes, this is the same Edward Enninful who commented “a star is born” under a post Lorenzo shared after he left the Love Island villa. 

“Not Edward Enninful unfollowing both Julia AND Lorenzo oh the joint flop 😭 Next Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury who,” one person said. “I guess a star no longer is being born,” added another.

Someone with this much cultural influence switching off from them really isn’t a good sign. At all. Is this already the end of an era?
