Love Island’s Jasmine and Kavan reveal where Aidan and Priya really stand now after split

We’ve got the inside tea from his own brother

On the NTAs red carpet, Love Island’s Jasmine and Kavan were asked what they think about Aidan and Priya’s split, and now we’ve finally got the inside scoop.

The pair announced their breakup with separate Instagram statements on Tuesday, where they both said they’re just better off as friends.

“Since leaving the villa, and getting to experience life outside together, we’ve realised we’re better suited as friends. I have nothing but love and respect for Aidan, and I’ll always look back on our time together very fondly. I genuinely wish him nothing but the very best for everything that’s to come,” Priya wrote.

Aidan similarly said: “Getting to know each other outside of the villa, we’ve realised that we’re much better suited as friends. I have nothing but love and respect for Priya and wish her nothing but the very best for everything that’s to come.”

You never really know if those black screen statements are telling the actual truth. But who better to reveal what really went down than Aidan’s own brother, Kavan, and Priya’s pal Jasmine?

A Daily Star reporter asked how Aidan is, and Kavan replied: “I think he’s okay. He’s good. Like I said, they were both in agreement.” Priya then spilt the real tea: “They’re honestly both so happy and good, and I think they love each other a lot, like, as friends, you know.”

So, it sounds like the statements are true. Nothing bad happened between them, and they really did just mutually decide they’re better off being friends than lovers. The love comment is kind of wild though.

Aidan and Priya are one of three Love Island 2026 couples to break up this week alone. First it was Yasmin and Tommy, then Julia and Lorenzo called it quits after some messy NTAs drama.

When asked if he’s worried about the breakups, Kavan didn’t seem fazed. He and Jasmine are already locked off and look happier than ever.

“To be honest, I kind of feel like that’s what happens with the show. Not a lot of couples do actually stay together for a long time. Just as long as everything’s mutual, then there’s no issue. You know what I mean?” he said. I mean, he’s not wrong.
