This Love Island 2026 couple only just went on their first date, two months after the villa

He’s getting grilled for it

One Love Island 2026 boy is getting majorly called out this week as he’s only just taken his practically girlfriend on a first date, two months after they left the villa.

Finley and Ellie seem to be one of the most serious couples to come out of the show this year, yet they’ve only just gone on their first date, which seems a bit bizarre. The pair were in London for the NTAs this week and took the opportunity to go on a snazzy dinner date at a rooftop restaurant in the city.

Finley first revealed this in a TikTok vlog on Wednesday, saying they were getting an “early night” after the awards ceremony because they were going on their “first date” the next day.  People thought he was ragebaiting. But hours later, they both posted pictures and videos of the first date on their Instagram stories.

Finley shared a video panning across the table with the caption: “We’ve made the first date.” Ellie then shared a similar video and wrote: “Date night.”

The pair left the villa a week before the end, on 16th July, so it’s been almost two months. And they’ve only just been on their first date? I’m confused.

When someone questioned Finley in the TikTok comments, he replied with a funny GIF of him and Ellie dancing, which has got people thinking it’s a joke all over again. Honestly, who knows at this point.

Ellie and Finley have been spending practically every day together since they left the villa, and have already revealed they’re moving to London together soon. But they’re still not official yet

“We’re not official yet. We’re official, but we’re not officially official,” Finley said on Snapchat when asked about their relationship status. Ellie agreed: “Yeah, but no, technically. Is the right answer. We’re off the market. That’s it.”
