The world is suddenly obsessed with using AI to make pictures of themselves as Barbie dolls in boxes. We decided to shamelessly hop on this trend and ask AI to turn the iconic MAFS Australia 2025 girlies into Barbie boxes. Some of the results are actually amazing. Some were so questionable that I’m no longer worried about AI and cyborgs stealing all our jobs just yet.

Awhina

Awhina has been on more sunny holidays than Cleo, it seems

Awhina said she and her twin sister Cleo come as a package deal. I decided to interpret this literally, and put them both in the same package. Their accessories include chips and white wine, since that’s all they seemed to consume during that tense lunch with Adrian’s sisters and friend. Awhina’s hair is now a darker shade to how she wore it during MAFS Australia, so my Barbie is accurate to her current vibe.

Carina

I really wanted the Carina Barbie doll to wear the strange sci-fi worm outfit which Kylie Jenner once wore.

Chat GPT seemed just as confused by this dress as MAFS viewers were. Some of my attempts were just not it. Clearly, the internet had never seen anything like the dress, either.

Carina spent a truly eye-watering $15,000 AUD on clothes and $1,500 AUD a week while she was filming MAFS Australia. I figured her doll would come with plenty of fashion accessories. The power drill is a reference to the tools business Carina’s parents own (and she does the social media for).

Jacqui

Jacqui Burfoot claims to have had almost as many careers and hobbies as Barbie has. This doll comes with many, many accessories.

Jacqui has had several jobs in different areas of law and finance. She also owns a jewellery business, has apparently read over 2,000 books, and is very sporty. Honestly, how does she have the time? In Jacqui’s wedding vows to Ryan, she said: “I love tennis, hiking, running. I can surf, ski, mountain bike, run around a netball court, I’m also a former model, dancer and certified yoga instructor and an ex-cheerleader.”

It seems ChatGPT was a bit overwhelmed by the sheer number of hobbies. The AI image contains random bike parts and a rolled-up towel? I asked ChatGPT to include figures of Clint’s two Samoyed dogs.

But the site spawned images of four partially-dismembered puppies instead. I dread to think how the toys got in that state.

Jamie

I am buzzing at how well this one turned out

After Billy and Sierah quit the experiment, Jamie was lumbered with looking after all their fish. I feel they should come included with the action figure. The little troll figuring is a reference to Lauren’s favourite insult for her.

Rhi

I’m not going to lie to you, I don’t know much about Rhi beyond the fact that her name is Rhi and she’s with Jeff. The sushi and wine are a reference to her cute date night with Jeff in intimacy week. Rhi recently said she’d “rather pluck [her] nostril hairs out one by one” than have a double wedding with Jacqui and Clint. I provided her doll with some tweezers in case she ever felt the urge to follow through with that.

Where did her feet go? An alternate dimension?

The yoga mat and netball seem to have spilled over from the Jacqui doll. ChatGPT was losing patience with me at this point.
