Lauren accuses producers of setting up vicious ‘attack’ on her at MAFS couples retreat
She claims they planned it with Jamie
The MAFS Australia couples retreat took a dramatic turn as Lauren and Jamie got into a heated row, and Lauren has accused the producers of setting the whole thing up.
It all started when the bride, who has been given a second chance in the experiment, said that she and Clint wanted to leave the retreat.
They hardly spent any time with the rest of the group, and Jamie got angry because she felt like Lauren was forcing Clint to leave when he didn’t really want to.
In a statement shared with So Dramatic! after the show, Lauren has now blamed the producers for planning the whole couples retreat “attack” in collaboration with Jamie.
“Veronica had told Clint and me that the girls’ night attack on me was planned by Jamie and Alex, the executive producer,” she said.
“So I was fed up with them within a minute of girls’ night. Carina and Rhi told me that it was all planned and they knew it was going to be like that and they said that the girls approach was aggressive and an attack.”
She explained that the “attack” started when the girls accused her of making Clint sleep on the couch because of his snoring, but he actually voluntarily chose to sleep on the couch.

“The girls were yelling at me. Telling me I was a liar about that,” she said.

“Jamie continued to make my need for space from the group about her. She was constantly badgering me, yelling, controlling and accusing me of things that were not true,” Lauren continued.
She also claimed she apologised for calling Jamie names, but none of it was shown on TV.
“I apologised for calling her and Awhina names at the retreat when the group was sitting together in the circle on the last night but that wasn’t shown. She was aggressive and none of that was shown either.”
“They’ve called me many names. They’ve called me a bit*h and snob. Jamie called a fuc*ing bit*h on multiple occasions because I wanted space from them as well as a lot of other things.”
“I said I wasn’t proud of calling them names but I didn’t appreciate them accusing me of lying and I was lashing out at that and I was sorry for calling them names. But [the episode] didn’t show that,” she continued.
I think it’s safe to say Lauren and Jamie won’t be making up any time soon.
