Lauren and Clint tried to organise a secret helicopter in wild ‘escape plan’ from the MAFS retreat
Um, they planned to throw fish at the rest of the cast as they flew away from the house?!
Lauren and Clint hated every single moment of the MAFS Australia 2025 couples’ retreat. They turned up at what should have been some relaxing time away, and to them, arrived in hell.
During the show, Lauren and Clint made it very clear they planned to quit the experiment and leave the MAFS retreat altogether. Lauren said she hates everyone in the cast, and Clint was struggling with it all – and just wanted to make Lauren happy. It was a real mess. The couple said they were going to leave, but after Lauren chucked a few insults around, they actually stayed.
However, speaking since the show, Clint has revealed they really did take leaving seriously. He told Yahoo Lifestyle he and Lauren made an “escape plan” which included hiring a helicopter to get them out of there. This is so on brand for Lauren it hurts.

“We’d had enough at that point and we were like, ‘F*ck it’. We woke up literally the first morning and I was feeling a little bit under the weather, and we were like, ‘Let’s get our own Airbnb’,” he said. Clint explained he secretly contacted a helicopter pilot that he knew. He asked them to come and pick them up from the house they were staying at. Because of course, mega rich Clint knows a helicopter pilot.

“So we went outside, literally walking around the grounds trying to find a big enough space to land the helicopter,” he went on. “And then the pilot was like, ‘Actually, I need permission from the owners of the Airbnb that you’re in. We were like, ‘F*ck, we can’t get that’. So then we were trying to organise for it to land elsewhere, but it all just sort of then closed in on us and production found out and it got messy from there.”

Clint explained that one of the errors they’d made was saying goodbye to the rest of the cast, as it made their plans known. He said he wishes they’d “just left and not tried to say goodbye”. He added: “But at that point, we told our producer we were going and it just became impossible to try and leave. We negotiated with them to go to the supermarket, but that was it.
“We had bought all this seafood and our plan was to fly out with the helicopter and throw the frozen prawns in the pool as we were going out. And everyone would’ve been in the pool going, ‘What the hell is in here?’.”
Erm, what the hell?!
