Every iconic LA landmark you’ll recognise that’s been damaged by the LA wildfires

A famous school used by Teen Wolf and Olivia Rodrigo partially burned down

California is still burning, with a number of fires still active across the state. We’ve seen the devastation, with around 180,000 people under evacuation and thousands of buildings burned to the ground, including the million dollar homes of numerous celebrities.

Whilst some blazes have been extinguished, there are thousands of acres still currently burning and warnings of further destruction to come.

As well as homes and communities, a number of iconic landmarks also succumbed to the LA fires, with residents sharing photos and videos of what remains. Misinformation spread about landmarks such as the Hollywood sign burning down have also been debunked online, but here are all the landmarks you’ll recognise which have been lost to the LA fires.

Featured in a number of Hollywood movies, you don’t have to be a local resident to recognise the Palisades Charter High School. The iconic entrance is familiar from the 1976 adaptation of Carrie, as well as the 2003 remake of Freaky Friday with Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis.

It was also used in Teen Wolf and the music video for Olivia Rodrigo’s good 4 u.

Unfortunately, parts of the famous school were destroyed in flames which reached the site at around 5:30pm on Tuesday. The football stadium was partially alight, with the score box reportedly being on fire and the baseball field destroyed. Reports also suggested some of the buildings were depleted as wind gusts reached 35 to 40 mph.

Luckily, the school’s 3,000 students were not directly affected as they are currently on winter break – however much of the site of many iconic movies has been destroyed.
