A clip of Joe Rogan predicting the LA wildfires has resurfaced after huge wildfires ripped through Hollywood on Tuesday.

At least five have died in the blaze, which has seen around 130,000 people under mandatory evacuation and the homes of several Hollywood celebrities burn to the ground.

But comedian and podcast host, Joe Rogan, spoke about wildfires in California back in July 2024, where he harrowingly predicted the natural disaster with great accuracy.

On an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience aired on July 19th, Joe discussed wildfires in California with fellow comedian, Sam Morril, who noticed Joe was wearing a T-shirt representing the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Praising the department as a “badass job”, Sam and Joe continued to chat about fires, with the podcast host relaying a conversation he’d had with a firefighter about how wildfires could easily get out of hand.

Joe explained how in conversation with a firefighter, he said: “One day, it’s just gonna be the right wind and fire’s gonna start in the right place and it’s gonna burn through LA all the way to the ocean and there’s not a f*cking thing we can do about it.”

Asking the firefighter whether that could be true, Joe explained how he replied that it was, and that they had only narrowly been avoided before when they “just get lucky with the wind”.

Talking about how winds can blow embers across the dry LA climate, he continued: “If the wind hits the wrong way, it’s just going to burn through LA and there’s not a thing we can do about it.”

Joe said: “These fires are so big, we’re talking about thousands of acres that are burning simultaneously with 40mph winds. And the winds just blow embers through the air, and those embers are landing on roofs, and those houses are going up, and they’re landing on bushes, and those bushes are going up. And everything’s dry. And once it happens, it happens in a way where it’s so spread out that there’s nothing they can do.”

Sam then agreed with Joe that evacuation is the only solution to survive these natural disasters, saying: “Yeah, you just have to evacuate right.”

The clip of their conversation started recirculating online after wildfires have torn across LA since Tuesday, with many people noticing the crazy coincidence. Joe’s eerie prediction prompted replies from viewers, who wrote: “The California fires were perfectly predicted with insane accuracy by a firefighter that spoke to Joe Rogan.”

Another added: “Joe Rogan accurately predicted this wildfire happening in LA last year” alongside a mind blown emoji.

Texas Patriot reshared the clip, commenting: “The warning signs were there”.

Joe even reshared the clip from his podcast show on his Instagram Story, including comments from Milana Blackman.
