Here’s how the Los Angeles fires are affecting the Selling Sunset cast

Chrishell and Brett have evacuated their homes

Lots of celebrities have had to evacuate Los Angeles because of the fires, and several of their houses have even burned down. A new fire called “the Sunset fire” has broken out in Runyon Canyon in the Hollywood Hills area. Lots of the Selling Sunset cast live near this area of Los Angeles, and have been impacted by the fires. The Sunset fire is 60 acres large. There might not be as much of Sunset for them to sell.

Here’s how the Los Angeles fires are affecting all the Selling Sunset cast.

Chrishell Stause has been evacuated

Chrishell lives with her wife G Flip in a $3.3 million (£2.7 million) mansion in the Hollywood Hills. The couple and their dog Gracie were evacuated on Thursday 9th January at about 2pm AEDT (3am GMT). She wrote on Instagram “Immediate evacuation in my area. Me, G & Gracie are safe and out of the house.”

Brett Oppenheim was evacuated and is staying with Jason

He said on Instagram, “I just evacuated to my brother’s from my house. Let’s just hope the Hollywood Hills don’t get worse.”

Mary is sharing updates on the fire from her garden

Mary Bonnet lives with her husband Romain and their surviving dogs in the Toulca Lake area. She’s been updating her Instagram followers on the fires and filming the blaze from her back garden.

She said, “I just got back from Egypt, and I’ve doused down my house. We’re watching the news.

“One part of the sky is blue. The other part is not, and then it switches. Every two seconds, the entire sky changes. I’m like, ‘okay? We’re safe… ooh, no we’re not.'”

Mary is trying to defend her house against flames. She’s also prepared for if her neighbourhood is told to evacuate.

“We’ve turned on sprinklers. And I sprayed down my roof. I’ve got my doggies. That’s the most important thing. I have my car packed with all my irreplaceable items. My hair is not done. We had the gardeners come to trim everything back.”

While Mary was filming herself and her dog in the garden, Romain could be seen in the background balancing precariously on the roof with a hosepipe.

“My hubbie is on the roof hosing it down again,” she explained.

“We have everything protected. We’re very lucky compared to a lot of other people in LA. Some of my friends are, like, homeless right now. So, I’m feeling very, very lucky, even when the sky changed. Even as I’m looking at it, it’s changing.”

Jason Oppenheim has warned their clients in the Hollywood Hills to evacuate

Jason has shared videos of the fires from his apartment. He can’t see The Oppenheim Group offices from his balcony anymore, because the sky is so black with smoke.

He wrote, “Fires in all directions. Already had two clients call me this morning because their houses burned down.

“If you’re in an evacuation zone, just evacuate. We can rebuild houses, we can’t rebuild our loved ones.”

Chelsea is letting friends stay at her house who have been evacuated

Chelsea lives in Manhattan Beach. That’s slightly further away from the other Selling Sunset cast members, so she hasn’t been as affected by the Los Angeles fires. A smoke warning has been issued for this area, but nobody has been evacuated yet. Chelsea wrote on her Instagram story, “Friends in evacuation zones. If u need a place to stay, mi casa su casa. Text me.”

Bre is preparing in case she is told to evacuate

She released a statement informing her Instagram followers that she’s okay. Bre wrote, “For everyone asking, we are safe and have every resource. Thankful I’m a crazy person and pre-paln for the apocolypse.

“In all seriousness, we luckily haven’t had to evacuate. Though it’s growing through Topanga Canyon and down Pacific Coast Highway, we haven’t been issued mandatory evacuation orders yet. I am praying for our city.”

The Selling Sunset agent is sitting on a sofa in her house and feels “so beyond exhausted”.

She said, “Anyone else feel like a complete zombie? So beyond exhausted, but too scared to fully fall asleep in fear of missing a mandatory evacuation? In fear of burning alive in their own house? I know that’s dark, but that’s where I’m at right now. Fun.”

Nicole complained she has to stay awake because her husband Brandon was fast asleep. Her three dogs were also snoring. She wrote, “I just want to go to bed and not burn alive, damnit.”

“I’m clearly starting to lose my marbles. I just wanna say, I don’t want to be in charge. I really don’t. I really don’t. I don’t want to be in charge. Why am I in charge?”

Nicole also offered to try and rescue the pets of people who have been evacuated. She wrote on Instagram, “For any pet owners (large or small animals) in the fire evacuation zones that need help getting your animals to safety, please DM me with the details and location and my husband and I will do everything we can to help!”
