Miles Teller to Paris Hilton: Celebrities whose houses burned down in the Los Angeles fires

More than 2,000 houses have now burned down in the Los Angeles fire, and over 130,000 people have received evacuation orders. Several celebrities have been forced to leave their homes, and some of their houses have burned down.

There are now fires in the Pacific Palisades, Eaton, Sunset and Hurst areas of Los Angeles. Several celebrities live in these areas. Hollywood has been evacuated because of the fires in the Sunset area.

Here’s a rundown of all the celebrities whose houses have sadly burned down in the Los Angeles fires.

Paris Hilton’s beachfront mansion in Malibu burned down

Paris Hilton’s house in Malibu has burned down. She bought the mansion in 2021 with her husband Carter Reum for about $8 million (£6.5 million). The Netflix show Cooking With Paris was filmed there, and her son Phoenix took his first steps in the kitchen.

She wrote on Instagram that she was “heartbroken beyond words”. Paris Hilton added, “Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience. This home was where we built so many precious memories”.

The Millenial golden couple lived in a $6.5 million house (£5.2 million) in the Pacific Palisades area, where the fire started. TMZ published videos which show their house has been reduced to rubble. All the houses in the block have burned down.

Miles Teller’s house has burned down

Only rubble and the front gates are left of Miles Teller’s house in the Pacific Palisades. He bought it in 2023 for $7.5 million (£6.1 million).

Miles Teller hasn’t commented on the fire. His wife Keleigh posted on her Instagram story asking people to leave out bowls of water for all the pets who have been left being in the area.

The house of Eugene Levy caught fire

The Schitt’s Creek actor also lost his house. He was stuck in traffic for hours while he and his neighbours tried to flee the area. He told the Los Angeles Times, “The smoke looked pretty black and intense over Temescal Canyon. I couldn’t see any flames but the smoke was very dark.”

His son Dan Levy, who lives in a different area of Los Angeles, has been sharing pictures of the fire on his Instagram story.

Anna Faris also lost her home

The comedian lived in a $5 million (£4 million) house in the Palisades. She shared it with her son Jack (whose father is Chris Pratt) her husband Michael Barret and his two teenage children.

The house of the Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie is on fire

TMZ published pictures of helicopters and firefighters trying to put out flames at Fergie’s house in the Brentwood area.

Reese Witherspoon, Ben Affleck, Tom Hanks and Mark Hamill have been evacuated

Lots of other celebrities have been evacuated from because of the Los Angeles fires. We don’t know what’s happened to their houses yet.

The Star Wars actor Mark Hamill has been sharing plenty of updates on his Instagram story. He says he, his wife and their dog were evacuated from their house in Malibu at such short notice that there were actual fires on the side of the street. He wrote on Instagram, “We were fleeing for our lives”.

Miley Cyrus has a $8 million (£6.5 million) mansion in Malibu, near to Mark Hamill’s. We don’t know if she has been told to evacuate, or if she’s in Los Angeles at the moment. Her last house in Malibu burned down in the Californian wildfires in 2018.

Mandy Moore (who voices Rapunzel in Tangled) had to leave her house in Altadena too. She wrote on Instagram, “So gutted for the destruction and loss. Don’t know if our place made it.”

The actress Jamie Lee Curtis lives in an area where an evacuation order was given. She confirmed on social media this morning that her house and the rest of the street are safe.

Several celebrities from the Selling Sunset cast have left their houses.

Members of the Kardashian family have fled their mansions

Kourtney Kardashian’s stepchildren (and Travis Barker’s children) Alabama and Landon have been evacuated. Alabama has been posting many updates on the evacuation and her thoughts on the fire to her Instagram story.

Alabama appears to be concerned that people could have started the fires. She wrote, “It’s almost like somebody is setting fires around the city?” and “They are doing it on purpose now!” These claims are unverified.

Matthew Perry’s former house was on fire

It was reported that the mansion in Pacific Palisades where Matthew Perry died was on fire. People who live nearby posted videos of the blaze on TikTok. The house’s new owner has now revealed the home survivied the fire.
