University of Sussex announces plans for some in-person teaching from March

Regular testing will also be available

In an email sent to students earlier today, the University of Sussex announced that in-person teaching could be resumed for practical subjects as early as March 8th, the first date in Boris Johnson’s new ‘roadmap’ system.

Brighton and Sussex Medical School and the School of Education and Social Work returned to campus teaching in January. Life Sciences, Engineering and Informatics, and Media, Arts and Humanities are the next set of schools to follow suit with these faculties containing practical elements.

The announcement urges students to keep checking their emails for more information sent directly from their school. It is also stated that the in-person teaching will not be compulsory, and equivalent content will continue to be delivered online.

The university will provide two coronavirus tests per week for students who do return to campus, which can be booked online here.
