Lucy Spraggan is performing at the Union again

Why?

X Factor’s Lucy Spraggan is set to play at the Students’ Union for a second time next year, as part of her “acoustic tour”.

Spraggan, who’s from Sheffield originally, also headlined the similarly underwhelming Fresher’s Festival in 2013, which went down so well it was scrapped this year.

The X Factor drop out, who came ninth place on the show after quitting due to illness in 2011, will be returning to Sheffield on the 22nd February.

Can’t wait

She’s set to perform songs from her latest album “We Are” at the event, held at the Uni’s Foundry, Studio and Fusion.

The Facebook event currently has a promising nine people attending, and 13 interested.

Promising

Jen Oughton, a second year studying History, reacted to yet another niche booking from the uni.

She said: “Gigs at the SU would be much better if you didn’t have to Google the performer.”

Lizzie Humphreys, an Architecture finalist reacted similarly to the news, asking: “Who even is Lucy Spraggan?”

Advance tickets are £12 and available from the SU Box Office and online.
