Best dressed of Rhum Club winter freshers’ ball
They should have played ‘Glamorous’ all night
On Monday and Tuesday night, Rhum Club held a Winter Ball for first years and their guests.
Champagne was flowing as they were entertained by various performers and live musicians, and festive decor and balloons lined the room.
We went and picked out our favourite outfits of the night.
Sian Jenkins, Psychology
Sian donned a gorgeous sparkly patterned jumpsuit that she snagged last year in a Topshop sale. You can never go wrong with Topshop.
Robyn Morris, Psychology
Robyn wasn’t too afraid to brace the arctic conditions with her little white dress with lace detailing.
Clinton Okendo, Aerospace Engineering
Clinton wore a classy dark grey shirt, standing out against the sea of suits. You can never go wrong with a black tie.
Emily Tolg Parminter, Law and French
Emily stunned with this fiery red sheer dress with glitter detail. No formal is complete without curls, and her platinum blonde hair packed a subtle punch against the fiery red.
John O’Neil, Maths
A formal isn’t complete without a preppy-plaid-like grey blazer. Looking suave, John completed the look with a black bowtie.
Elsie Glover, second year Chemistry
Elsie’s wide-leg jumpsuit provided a sweet contrast to the dozens of dresses we saw. The sequined glitter detail gave her outfit a far more couture feel.
Maddy Jackson, Finance and Accounting
Maddy’s little white dress with sheer detail is the perfect winter staple for Christmas parties and winter balls.
Beth Knight, Marketing
Beth’s black jumpsuit epitomized everything luxe. She pulls off an effortless sloane charisma in this outfit, we bet boys could not keep their eyes off in this outfit. One thing’s for sure, she definitely meant business.
Steve Farrar, Law graduate
In a sea of black suits, Steve caught our ever-on-the-lookout eyes with this luxe grey blazer. He completed this look with a tie-less collar giving a more laid back and comfortable tone.
Mhran Mokri, Computing, and Zahra Najak, Biology
Mhran opted for a navy-blue suit with a navy tie. The blue worked well against Zahra’s black dress with sheer detailing
Joe Wilkins doing a foundation in Geography, and Jordan Mallen, Law and Criminology
These two looked smart in their sweet suits with contrasting pocket details. We especially liked Joe’s festive tie for the occasion.
Nicky Simpson Psychology
Nicky stunned with this beautiful white beaded glittery dress. Her 20s inspired luxe dress is the perfect winter ball staple, we bet we’ll be seeing this dress again at the many winter balls to come.
