UoL are once again putting on an epic display of sporting talent at this year’s Sports Invitational.

The event, which takes place on Sunday 4th May, will see five different sports and 80 different teams compete on Sunday in a jam packed day that’s not to be missed.

For the past two years, UoL rugby club have showcased their finest sporting specimen in a 7 aside match.  This year hockey, football, lacrosse and netball are all competing too.

The University of Liverpool Sports Invitational, sponsored by Your Place student letting agency, is all in aid of the AU’s chosen charity, Joining Jack, which tackles Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).

There’ll be live bands, an ice cream van, and even a BBQ to see you through the day as the AU seek to make this year’s fundraiser its biggest yet.

Mark Brewis, organiser of this year’s event, told The Tab: “‘This years sports invitational is promised to be the biggest and best sporting event in Liverpool this year. An event with something for everyone and most importantly, all for a great cause.”

The event starts at 10:30AM on Sunday 4th May at Wyncote and will finish around 4PM.  Entry is free although donations to Joining Jack are welcome.
