Payne vs. Butler

Guild President Sam Butler talks to the Tab’s Adam Payne about the SRO elections; giving his take on why disinterest is the overwhelmingly popular mood in 2014.

Many of the issues relating to this year’s SRO election have left some students feeling indifferent and in some cases disillusioned with campaigns, voting and the Guild in general.

Opinions editor Adam Payne spoke to current President Sam Butler about  a number of these issues in an attempt to shed light on what has been a disjointed few weeks.

In this short, no-nonsense interview the pair get to grips with the issues turning many students away from the election process; exhausting campaign styles, ICT failure & the lack of interest that the majority of students appear to have in the Guild elections.

Okay, it probably won’t live up to Frost vs Nixon and it was more of a chat than a duel, but here it goes…

Sam also confirms that online registration has now been FIXED.
